We started by retiring the Legacy servers at each remote location and consolidating all the servers at the main location. A Network Attached Storage (NAS) was added to consolidate all the data. A Secure Wide Area Network was established between all the locations. Perimeter firewalls and Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) were installed and configured to secure the networks. A Custom Web Application was developed by our Design division.
Results: All locations able to work with common data in real-time. The back-up is performing optimally and is controlled from the main office. The network is extremely reliable surpassing the goals established in our recommended solution. Maintenance costs were reduced by more than 25%. Additional branch offices were added easily as the company kept on growing. Return on Investment was accomplished in less than 2 years.
