What drew you to this position?

I like customer service and this position is all about dealing with and helping clients.  It’s a fast-paced always on your toes role.  It is very rewarding and challenging at the same time.

What educational background did you need to secure this role?

Good knowledge of accounting software.  Proper training and understanding.

What does the average day look like for you in your role?

The average day consists of checking e-mails for client concerns and issues to be addressed.  Making sure tickets and invoicing are addressed and processed.  Looking at overdue accounts and dealing with the clients to resolve any issues they might have.  Taking and processing payments, through the portal and banking machine.  The first line of communication with clients and directing clients to the right department.  Daily basis dealing with Sales and managers to make sure that the client’s issues are addressed.

What is it like working for an MSP?

It is amazing to be a part of such a talented group of people that are able to detect, assess and resolve issues as they come up.

How do you manage your time working for multiple clients?

I prioritize my days by dealing with urgent matters first as they arise.  I receive numerous e-mails throughout the day that have to be addressed.  I get quite a bit of phone calls that need me to react right on the spot.

What skillset is critical in the Accounts Receivable role?

It is crucial to keep accounts up-to-date.  The line of communication with the client is always open.  Good rapport with our sales team and managers.  In the end, client satisfaction is what matters.

What key qualities do you think someone in your career possesses?

Patience, attitude and knowing how to deal with clients. Be a team player and be able to get to the bottom of the issue and try to resolve it.  The most important thing is your attitude.  A positive attitude goes a long way.  I’m here to take charge of the situation and make a difference.

What is the most exciting part about your job?

The most exciting part of my job is not knowing what challenges I’m facing the next day. I love interacting with clients and my teammates!

What is the least exciting part of your job?

The least exciting part of my job is when I don’t reach a resolution with a client or unable to reach a middle ground.

How do you hope to grow in your field of work?

I want to be the best of what I do. My job is all about relationship building.  Clients are contacting me directly instead of the salesperson because of their relationship with me.

What have you learned at AlphaKOR that has helped you grow personally?

Working at AlphaKOR taught me to look at situations differently. Not to be judgemental.  Be helpful and patient and sympathetic.  The relationship between colleagues is priceless.  I know now that you can make friends outside of your personal bubble.  These experiences will stay with you forever.  The love and respect that AlphaKORians have for each other are rare to find.

I have been working at AlpahKOR for 9 years, but had the privilege of being a part of a success story from inception.  AlphaKOR started with a two brothers dream to create a very successful IT business.  They worked very hard and dealt with a lot of hiccups and growing pains along the way.  Shortly after they were joined by their two partners and that’s when the fun really began.  After years of hard work and a lot of sacrifices, determination and long hours, AlphaKOR went from a small storefront to a building that holds 50 employees.

The most rewarding factor is seeing how much fun the employees are having and how much respect they have for the partners and each other.  Employees are always treated like family.  AlphaKOR is always there supporting, encouraging and helping their employees in any way they can.  Employees consider AlphaKOR their home.

We have been through marriages, births and death.  We celebrated, laughed and cried together and that is very priceless and hard to find.

I am very honoured and blessed to have been a part of such a brilliant success story for over 26 years.
