Router Botnet Shut Down – Who Did It?

Sometimes good things happen. In the past 72 hours we have seen a large global botnet based on hacked home routers being shut down. The botnet was spending significant resources attacking WordPress websites.

The Wordfence blog showed the change in attack patterns seen on the WordPress sites. There has been a massive drop in attack traffic targeting WordPress from affected ISPs around the world.
