Researchers have been studying the factors that make's people influential for industries such as automotive, energy, and politics for over 60 years. Make no doubt about it; there is a science to how we are influenced and a lot of this science is astounding.

When making decisions we ideally believe that we consider all the available information to us before reaching a conclusion. The reality of this is anything but. In the increasing complexity of our lives we have become used to short cuts and hacks that help us solve problems, make decisions, and react quicker. Researchers have been able to identify these shortcuts as rules that are fundamental in guiding our behavior. Understanding these rules and applying them in an ethical manner can significantly increase how influential we can be.
