What is a Job?
A job outlines what needs to be done for a specific customer. All of the hours logged by employees, expenses, and items purchased are located here.
Adding a Job
To create a job click Jobs (1) on the left tool bar under the Jobs heading. From there, click Create Job (2) at the top and enter in all the known information. The rest can be added or changed later.
Editing a Job
To edit a job, click on Jobs (1) on the left tool bar under the Jobs heading. From there, click on a job to edit it (2).
From there more information can be added such as:
- Parts: All parts that need to also be used to complete this job
- Purchases: Purchases made against this job (eg. Materials, lumber)
- Logged Hours: Hours employees have logged against this job (eg. Employee number 123 has spent 22 hours on this job (and counting)).
The grand total is located at the bottom of this page. The selling price can be input and then it will display the profit and profit percentage.
Deleting a Job
To delete a job, click on Jobs (1) on the left tool bar under the Jobs heading. From there, click on a job to get to the delete menu (2). Please note: when a job is deleted, it cannot be undone.
From there, click the trash can (3) icon on the top right. Alternatively if a job has been completed, the status can be changed to shipped (4) which will keep the job, but move it to the completed jobs section of KareHR.
